Part 3 · Operate

What worked

Your best posts, written again from a new angle or posted again, and what they share turned into templates.

01What it is

The top of Posts, then Published. Your best posts by clicks, likes, reposts and replies, each with Write variations and Post it again, and below them the features your best posts have clearly more often than the rest, each with the counts and a Make a template button.

02Why it exists

A post that worked once usually works again, written differently. Most founders know this and never do it, because finding the best posts means scrolling a feed and adding up numbers by hand, and rewriting one without it reading as a repeat is its own job.

So the best ones are found for you, from your own numbers only, and Write variations opens the composer with three rewrites of it: a new first line, a different angle on the same facts, and a different shape. The patterns go one step further. Read across everything you published, the best quarter is compared with the rest, and a feature is shown only when the best posts carry it clearly more often, with the counts beside it so you can see how strong it is. A template keeps that shape with every fact taken out, so the next post starts from what has worked for you rather than from a blank box.

03How to use it

  1. 01Open Posts, then Published. What worked sits above the list.
  2. 02Pick one of your best posts and choose Write variations. The composer opens with three versions to choose from; Undo puts the original back.
  3. 03Or choose Post it again to send the same words, networks and picture as a new post.
  4. 04Read what your best posts share. Each line shows how many of your best posts have it against how many of the rest do.
  5. 05Choose Make a template on one that rings true. It is saved under Templates in the composer, with blanks in square brackets to fill.

04What good looks like

You give it
Sixteen published posts, the four with the most clicks and likes all opening with a number and a short list, the other twelve opening with neither.
You get
What worked lists Opens with a number and Has a list, each at four of four against none of twelve, and Make a template saves a shape like a number in brackets, then two bracketed lessons as a list.
Why
The best quarter is compared with the rest and a feature the rest never has, at enough of the top, is the clearest kind there is. The template keeps the list markers and replaces every fact with a blank.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
Nine published posts with results.
You get
The best posts show with their numbers, and the patterns wait, saying how many more posts it needs.
Why
A pattern from a handful of posts is noise that looks like advice, so nothing is called a pattern until PATTERN_MIN_POSTS have results.
