Part 2 · Set up
Your voice
Paste real writing. The profile is built from it and every draft is scored against it.
01What it is
You paste samples of your own writing. The product characterises sentence length, opener habits and vocabulary, then scores every draft against that profile and refuses anything below the channel floor.
02Why it exists
This is the step that decides whether the output sounds like you or like a tool. Skipping it does not break anything, which is what makes it the most commonly skipped step and the most expensive one to skip.
The profile needs real writing, not marketing copy. An About page is written by a committee in a register nobody uses in a message. Take posts and emails you actually sent.
03How to use it
- 01Paste at least three samples. More is better and 900 words is comfortable.
- 02Use writing aimed at a person: LinkedIn posts, emails you sent, a long Slack message.
- 03Avoid your website copy and anything a copywriter wrote for you.
- 04Redo it later from the venture screen. The step is not one-time.
04What good looks like
- You give it
- Four LinkedIn posts and two long emails, about 1,100 words total.
- You get
- A profile that reproduces your sentence rhythm and your habit of opening on a number.
- Why
- Enough real text in the register you actually write in.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs
- You give it
- Two paragraphs from the company website.
- You get
- The profile refuses to build, and every draft runs in a neutral register against the default floor.
- Why
- Below the sample and word floors the profiler declines rather than building a profile that would score confidently and wrongly.
