Home and the sidebar

What needs you now, how each channel is doing, and a sidebar in seven sections sorted by the work.

01What it is

Home opens with a greeting by your first name (never part of your email address), by the hour where you are: morning from five to noon, afternoon to five, evening otherwise. One line under it says where things stand, on a phone too: your plan is ready and waiting for your first channel, finish your plan, a channel you approved and what it waits on (LinkedIn presence is approved. It starts when you add 3 things you wrote.), how many things need you, or that your channels are running when they really are. Straight after your first approval a card under it says so once, in the same words: You approved LinkedIn presence and what is next while the channel waits on you, or Your AI team has started on it once the channel really runs. From your next visit the card is gone. Until setup is done, the setup card lists every step and, until the guided setup is done, Finish setup · about 5 minutes opens it. Needs you lists what waits, most urgent first: one line for every channel in your plan waiting for your yes always comes first, then drafts to approve, replies to answer, follow-ups due, channels whose result is due, setup a channel is waiting on, and posts to send by hand. Your channels shows only channels you approved, each with its day on the clock, its main number against its keep and stop lines, its status and its next step; a channel waiting for your yes is in Needs you, never a card here. Then this week’s numbers, once a channel has run a week (before that, one line says your numbers start after your first week), what goes out next, what changed at the companies you watch, and the week in plain words. The sidebar has seven sections: Home, Plan, Approvals, Inbox, Pipeline, Results and Studio, with Settings and Docs beneath. At its foot sits your account: your first name on the first line and your email on the second. Until you give a first name, the first line is a small Add your name link to the first step of setup; your email is never shown twice and a name is never made from it. Results is one page with Overview, Website, Social, Scoreboard and What we learned; Studio, Content holds the calendar, drafts, what went out, replies, what was written for you and the reels. Backlinks, Directories, Upwork and Podcasts each have a page of their own, and a venture’s own settings live in its setup, Settings view.

02Why it exists

A founder opening the app should know in five seconds what needs them and whether the plan is working. A channel waiting for approval is the one thing that stops everything else, so it is always first.

The sidebar is sorted by the work rather than by feature, and pages for channels your plan does not use sit under More inside their section, hidden rather than deleted. Every page keeps its own address, so a bookmark or an emailed link never breaks.

03How to use it

  1. 01Open Home. Work Needs you from the top: each row has one sentence and one button.
  2. 02Read Your channels: the ring is the day on the channel’s clock, and the bar marks the number it has to stay above and the number at which it stops. With reels_everywhere on, a channel also wears Stop, Keep or Scale once you have decided, or Stop proposed and Scale proposed while the team’s result waits on you, and a panel shows the minutes and budget your stopped channels gave back and the channels you scaled (see Reels everywhere).
  3. 03A section with nothing real in it is not shown. A number for a source you have not connected is one line saying what to connect, never a zero.
  4. 04In the sidebar, open a section to see its pages. More holds the pages for channels not in your plan yet.
  5. 05On a phone, the bar at the bottom has Home, Plan, Approvals and Inbox, and More for the rest. A page’s header is its title, the banner is one line, and the Ask bar is an icon at the top.
  6. 06One banner at a time, only for what blocks the plan: a channel waiting for your yes, then an account an approved channel needs, then a payment problem. Hide it and it stays hidden on every device for a few days. The setup checklist lives on Home as one card, and every other page has the one slim setup bar, on every screen size, with the same count. On a phone, with your venture made from your website, the setup bar takes the banner’s place until setup is done, and the banner never repeats what the page itself asks, so Home asks to approve a channel only in Needs you and on the channel cards.
  7. 07With Home shortcuts on, up to six one-click buttons sit under the greeting: Review approvals, Create post, Create AI reel, Calendar, Inbox and Deals to start. After two weeks they follow what you open most, and Approvals and Inbox stay while something waits there. Press Edit shortcuts to pin, unpin or move one; your order follows you to every device. On Home, A opens Approvals and I opens Inbox.
  8. 08With nav polish on, a small marker beside each section says what it holds and a few things you do there, opening beside the sidebar over the page; turn the markers off in Settings, under the guide. Ask or search under Create opens the Ask bar, as Cmd K or Ctrl K does.
  9. 09Looking for a page by its old name? With live answers on, press Cmd K or Ctrl K and type it: Today or Accounts each show a link to where the page lives now.

04What good looks like

You give it
A plan with three proposed channels and none approved, two drafts waiting, and one reply from a prospect.
You get
Needs you reads "3 channels are waiting for your yes. Nothing runs until you approve one." with Review channels first, then the two drafts, then the reply.
Why
needRows puts proposed channels first whatever else waits, and every count is read from the tables that hold the work.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
A new venture with no plan, nothing published and Stripe not connected.
You get
Home shows the setup card, one line saying the numbers start after the first week, then This week in plain words saying it is too early to say. Your channels and Going out next are not shown.
Why
A section without data is hidden rather than drawn as a grid of zeros.
