Part 3 · Operate
What we know
Everything the team knows about a venture, where each piece came from and where it was used, and how to change it by saying so.
01What it is
One page per venture that lists what the team knows, in nine sections from your business to your decisions. Each card shows where the fact came from, how often it was used and its history. To change anything, you say it in the box at the top; nothing on the page is edited in place.
02Why it exists
A team that writes and sells for you is only as good as what it believes about your business. When the price changes or a customer asks not to be named, every writer has to know at once, and you have to be able to see that they do.
So memory is a view over the places those facts already live: your venture setup, your plan, your brand rules, your deals. A change you confirm is written to that place first and to memory second, so memory never says something your setup does not.
Changes start as words rather than forms because a founder knows what changed ("we raised prices") long before they know which field holds it. Ledger, the memory agent, turns the words into a proposal with before and after and what it affects. It may read, propose and ask one question. It may not apply anything, add a fact you did not give, write proof you did not state, change another venture or the shared learnings, or delete a deal. The last word is always your Confirm.
03How to use it
- 01Open What we know from the rail, under Measure. If memory is off for the venture, turn it on from the card that shows.
- 02Type what changed in the box at the top, for example "We raised prices to $79", and press Propose the change.
- 03Read the proposal: what it says now, what it will say, where it writes, and what it affects. Press Confirm, Change it to reword, or Cancel.
- 04If the team asks one question instead, answer it and a new proposal follows.
- 05After a change applies, choose each follow-up on its own: write affected drafts again, make a new plan version, or apply it to running channels now rather than at their next test. Anything published stays as it is.
- 06To correct or forget one card, press This is wrong or Forget this. Each fills the box with the card's words for you to finish and send. Correct what we know on a live answer opens this page with the same words filled in.
- 07Open Needs a check for guesses waiting for a yes or no, conflicts with new evidence, facts past their date and suggestions from the nightly pass.
- 08Open Import from your AI to bring in what ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini already knows about the business, as proposals you confirm.
- 09Open Changes to undo a recent change, or to delete a forgotten item permanently by typing delete.
- 10Open Export and reset to download everything as Markdown or JSON, or to reset memory by typing reset.
04What good looks like
- You give it
- We raised prices to $79 and we don't sell to agencies anymore
- You get
- Two proposed changes. Your price changes from "$49/mo" to "$79" and writes to the price in your venture setup. A new rule, "You don't sell to agencies.", excludes agencies from outreach, lookalikes, the plan and drafting.
- Why
- Each clause is read on its own, the price names the one price memory holds, and the rule carries what it filters. Evaluation case 0005-two-facts.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs
- You give it
- Add some case studies
- You get
- Nothing is proposed. The proposal says it was not done: proof is added only in your own words, with the result and the number or the customer.
- Why
- The memory agent never writes proof you did not state, and the gate removes any change that adds a number or a name you did not give. Evaluation case 0012-unstated-proof.
