Part 3 · Operate

Ask about your GTM plan

A signed-out visitor asks up to three questions about their own free GTM plan and gets the answer as parts of that plan.

01What it is

A button at the foot of a free plan’s page opens a sheet where the visitor can ask about that plan: which channel to start with, what happens in the first week, where their buyers are. The answer is drawn from the plan page’s own parts (a channel card, the first week, the places, a buyer, the plan at a glance), read from that one plan.

02Why it exists

A visitor who has just read a plan has questions, and a plan that cannot answer them is where most of them leave. Three answers drawn from their own plan show what working with the team is like before they sign up, and the fourth question is the moment to ask them to.

It is the one place a model runs for somebody with no account, so it is held tight. The answer reads only the plan at that link, through the same gates as Ask your team, on the cheap tier, and every question is counted on the server before anything is spent. Nothing about the visitor is kept beyond a hash that counts their questions.

03How to use it

  1. 01It appears on every finished free plan once the intelligent_ui flag is on for everyone in /admin, Growth. Off, the plan page is exactly what it was.
  2. 02The visitor presses Ask about your plan, picks a starter question or types one, and watches the answer arrive as parts of their plan.
  3. 03After the third answer the sheet asks them to sign up, with the plan carried into onboarding.
  4. 04A question that fails is not counted, says so, and raises an admin alert so you can write to the visitor yourself.

04What good looks like

You give it
On a plan with LinkedIn and community channels, the visitor asks "Which channel should I start with?" with no model provider set.
You get
The LinkedIn channel card from their plan, with what runs there and the first thing it does, and two follow-up questions. The sheet now says two questions are left.
Why
The keyless answer matches the question to the part of the plan it asks about and draws it through the same show tools and gates a model uses, and an answered question counts once.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
The same visitor asks a fourth question.
You get
No model is called. The sheet shows "Sign up to keep asking your team." and one Sign up free button.
Why
The limit is checked on the server before anything is spent, from the questions that visitor already asked about this plan.
