Part 2 · Set up

Your brand kit

Logo, colours, fonts and a tagline, so visual work looks like yours.

01What it is

How the venture looks: a logo, five colours by role, two font names, a tagline and a line on style. Reels, carousels and ads read it, so the work carries your brand rather than ours.

02Why it exists

A reel in somebody else's colours is a reel nobody shares. The brand rules decide how the writing sounds; this decides how the visual work looks, and it is the half a founder notices first.

It is also the input the video partner needs. Reels render once that integration is connected; until then the kit already shapes the reel scripts, which name your colours and end on your tagline.

03How to use it

  1. 01Open the venture screen, then Your brand, and scroll past the rules to Your brand kit. The step in Your first week goes straight there. It is not part of setup, so setup stays short.
  2. 02Upload your logo. A version that reads on a dark background is best.
  3. 03Pick your primary colour at least. The preview beside the form shows a reel cover in your colours as you go.
  4. 04Save. The first-week step ticks itself.

04What good looks like

You give it
A transparent PNG logo, a primary and an accent colour, and the tagline "Built into the tools you already use".
You get
A cover frame in those colours with the logo at the top and the tagline at the foot, and reel scripts that end on that line.
Why
The preview and the reel writer both read the saved kit, so what you see is what the work uses.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
A 4 MB photo of the founder, as the logo.
You get
Refused before anything is stored, with the size limit named.
Why
A logo is small, and a large file is almost always the wrong one. The limit is BRAND_LOGO_MAX_BYTES.
