Part 3 · Operate
Impact
What your team did for you, in money, time and results, with every number traced to its rows.
01What it is
One page that shows what the product did for a venture, or for every venture you run: results, the return on what you pay, time given back, money not spent, work done, what was learned and the milestones reached. Every number belongs to one of three tiers and opens the rows behind it. You can share a card with the numbers you choose.
02Why it exists
A results page that rounds up is worse than none: the first number a founder can check and cannot reproduce makes them doubt every other one. So every number here is one of three kinds, and it says which. Measured numbers are counted from rows. Confirmed numbers are ones you entered or confirmed, or a payment that matched a deal. Estimates are worked out from assumptions you can see and change, and they are never added into the other two.
The hiring comparison has no default on purpose. A number for what an agency would cost you is only true if you chose it, so until you name one the page asks you to and shows nothing.
When nothing has come in yet, the page shows what is moving instead of a row of zeros: each channel's day on its test clock, open deals, meetings booked ahead, and the milestones still to reach.
03How to use it
- 01Open Results, Overview (Impact, under Measure, while the new sidebar is off), and press Turn on Impact; it also has a switch in Settings, Impact.
- 02Open Results for the headline, the results row and the return. Choose a period above the views, or switch to every venture.
- 03Press See the list under any number to see exactly what it counts; an estimate shows its working instead, with each input.
- 04In motion lists each running channel on its clock. A channel you approved that is not running yet says what it waits on, in the same words as Home: LinkedIn presence is approved and waiting for your writing.
- 05Open Time and money to change the minutes behind the time estimate, or to set the hire or agency you would compare against.
- 06Open Share to make a card for X, LinkedIn or Instagram. Choose the numbers; turn money on only if you want amounts shown; turn the public page on only if you want a link.
- 07Revoke a share at any time. The card and the page stop working for everyone.
- 08With website analytics on, On your site shows visits that came through your channels and the people they identified, both measured. With conversion accuracy on too, a line under them says how much of the confirmed conversions tracking caught in the last week.
04What good looks like
- You give it
- A deal moved to won with a value you entered of $6,000, in the period shown.
- You get
- Revenue won shows $6,000 labelled Confirmed by you, its rows list that deal, and the headline opens with it because confirmed revenue is the strongest real number.
- Why
- The headline is chosen from confirmed revenue, then deals won, then meetings held, then conversations, then posts, and never from an estimate. A card with money off skips the revenue sentence.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs
- You give it
- No hire or agency comparison set.
- You get
- Money not spent shows a prompt to set your comparison and no figure.
- Why
- The comparison has no default: a figure for what someone else would cost is only shown once you name it yourself.
