Part 3 · Operate

Usage and limits

What your plan includes each period, what used it, and what happens at a limit.

01What it is

Each plan includes a set amount of the expensive work: plans, research, call notes, video and the rest, counted per 30-day period from the day your account was made. Settings, Usage shows what is used and left, when each resets and what used it.

02Why it exists

Most of what the product does costs real money each time it runs: a plan reads your site and writes with a strong model, research searches the web, a reel draws seconds of video. A plan with no limits is a plan that has to cost more than it should, or one that stops working for everybody when a few accounts run it hard.

So there are two kinds of limit. Allowances are counts you can see and plan around. Fair use is one line for all your work together, so a few very long plans or endless rewrites cannot cost more than the plan pays for, even with allowances left.

A limit never stops something you already said yes to. Approved posts publish, scheduled work runs and channels keep working; only new expensive work waits. And it never leaves you guessing: a paused action says what it would have done, why it is paused, when it resets, and where the plans are.

03How to use it

  1. 01Open Settings, Usage to see each allowance, what is used and left, and when it resets.
  2. 02Read the list under it for what used each one, such as a plan for your site or research on a person.
  3. 03When a quiet line appears at the top of the app, open it: something is near its limit.
  4. 04When an action pauses, read the reason and the reset date, or press See plans for more.
  5. 05On a paid plan at its fair-use line, the action waits for a quick review and the next one runs once it is raised. Approved and scheduled work keeps running meanwhile.
  6. 06A venture your plan paused, or a payment past its grace period, pauses new work too, whatever the allowances say, and the message says which.
  7. 07On the new plans video is not one of these allowances: it is paid for in video credits, shown with your plan in Settings.

04What good looks like

You give it
A free account logs its fourth set of call notes in a period.
You get
The notes are not read. The screen says "This would read your call notes and write the next steps. Your plan includes 3 sets of notes and briefs each period, and they are used.", gives the date the period resets, and offers See plans.
Why
The free plan includes three sets of call notes and prep briefs a period, so the fourth is paused with the reason, the reset date and the way to the plans. Test "allowances block at the limit, say why and when".

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
A free account starts a channel.
You get
The channel does not start. The screen says "This would start this channel. This is part of the paid plans." and offers See plans, with no reset date.
Why
Running channels is part of the paid plans, so there is no reset date to wait for, and the message says so rather than naming one. Test "refuse a feature the plan does not include".
