Plans and billing

Which plan runs what, how paying and changing plans work, and what happens when a payment fails.

01What it is

Each plan runs a number of ventures, its channels, video credits and a set of allowances, priced per venture with no fee per agent. You pay through Stripe; moving up happens now, moving down waits for the period to end, and nothing is ever deleted.

02Why it exists

A plan is a promise about what keeps running. So the rules are written to keep it: an upgrade starts at once because you paid for it, a downgrade waits for the end of what you already paid for, and a venture the smaller plan cannot run is paused, never removed.

A failed payment is usually a card that expired, not somebody leaving. So everything keeps working through a grace period while Stripe tries the card again and you get reminders, and paying brings everything back at once.

03How to use it

  1. 01Choose a plan on the pricing page. Switch to annual for two months free. Starter starts with a free trial: the card is taken at the start and charged only when the trial ends, and you get an email a few days before. While founding places are left, Starter takes the founding price for its first months, monthly or annual, then the list price.
  2. 02After paying, the welcome page confirms your plan and what changes now. Paying from your own free plan goes straight into the app instead, with the venture already made from your website (venture_from_url): to "Your AI team already started" while first work is on (aha_flow), to Home otherwise.
  3. 03With the refund promise on (the refund_promise_v2 flag), the refund window is said plainly under the plan cards, in the pricing FAQ, on the landing page’s pricing preview, after checkout and in the terms, with the date the wording changed. Beside it an outcome line offers the same full refund to anyone with no qualified conversation in the window, unless the founder switches that line off in Admin, Billing; the refund never depends on it.
  4. 04Open Settings, Plan and billing for your plan, its renewal date (or the day a trial ends), the founding price if you hold it, ventures running, what this period holds, video credits left, add-ons, and Manage billing for the card and invoices.
  5. 05You are asked to change plan at three moments only: adding a venture past your plan, running out of video credits, and reaching the fair-use ceiling. Every other limit says what it is and when it resets.
  6. 06Once the account is past its first weeks with no channel running, the plan card in Settings also carries one quiet line, Rather we ran it?, linking to Done For You. It is a link, not a request to change plan, and it goes once a channel runs.
  7. 07Move to a bigger plan from Settings: it applies at once and Stripe charges the difference.
  8. 08Move to a smaller plan, or from annual to monthly: it waits for the period to end. If the smaller plan runs fewer ventures, choose which stay running; the others pause with everything kept.
  9. 09Cancel from the top of Settings, Plan and billing in one click: the plan runs to the end of the period (or the trial, with nothing charged), then the account is on Free and every plan, post, deal and report stays readable. Keep the plan after all from the same place until that day.
  10. 10Inside the refund window after your first payment, the same place offers Cancel now and refund my payment: the payment goes back through Stripe and the plan ends at once.
  11. 11Before every renewal you get an email with the date and the amount.
  12. 12Bring a paused venture back from Settings once the plan has room for it.
  13. 13If a payment fails, update the card in Settings before the grace period ends and nothing stops.
  14. 14Video is paid for in credits: one credit is a second of fast, 720p video, and a reel shows what it costs before it is drawn. Buy a pack of credits from Settings when the period runs short; a pack lasts its own window and never rolls over.
  15. 15With Reels on (the reel_budgets flag), video is counted in Reels instead: each plan gives a number of Reels a month, Settings shows Reels left, and Buy more sells a pack of Reels (see Reels).
  16. 16On Starter or Team, add a venture from Settings. Taking one away asks which ventures keep running, as a downgrade does.
  17. 17On Done With You, the founder reviews your plan and weekly reports before they reach you. A report still arrives after the review window, marked as not reviewed yet.
  18. 18For more than the plans cover, use the Enterprise card on the pricing page: book a call, or send the form and get a reply by email.
  19. 19Under the plan cards, where they are switched on, What this replaces lists what the plans cover with what each leaves out, and What happens when gives the time each first step takes.

No worked example here

No real example yet: the new plans are behind the new_pricing flag and have only run against Stripe test doubles, so no founder has bought, changed or cancelled one.
