Part 3 · Operate

Warmest people

The people who engaged with your own posts this month, warmest first, each with a note in your voice that you send yourself.

01What it is

People, Warmest lists who commented on, reposted, quoted, replied to or reacted to your posts, and who came to your site from a post’s link, over the last month. Each person shows what they engaged with, a fit and an intent score, and a drafted note that names the exact post. You copy the note and send it on LinkedIn or X yourself, then press Mark as sent. Create deal opens a deal at conversation with the post as where it came from; Ignore takes them out of the list.

02Why it exists

Somebody who commented on your post last week is not a stranger. A note that answers what they said reads as a conversation, which is the whole point of posting in the first place, and it usually goes unsent because nobody has the list.

Everything here reads and nothing acts. We never like, follow, connect, comment or send a direct message on any platform: on LinkedIn, Sidecar reads your notifications page while you have it open, or a post you chose to capture, and on X we read through your connected account with the permissions it already has. The note is yours to send, and an email only ever goes through Approvals and the usual send checks.

03How to use it

  1. 01Engager signals waits behind the engager_signals flag. Once it is on for your account, People gains a Warmest tab.
  2. 02The list fills overnight from your connected X account, comments on Instagram, Bluesky and Mastodon, and visitors who arrived from your posts’ links. Open your LinkedIn notifications with Sidecar installed and those engagements arrive too. With post capture on, the people on any post you open can be added with one click (see Post capture).
  3. 03Choose somebody. Read what they engaged with, then press Draft a message.
  4. 04Press Copy, open their profile, and send it there yourself. Then press Mark as sent. Somebody you have already emailed from here also gets Send for approval, which puts the note in Approvals.
  5. 05Press Create deal when a conversation starts. Press Ignore for anybody you would rather not write to.
  6. 06Settings, Channels shows the month’s X reads against the cap.

04What good looks like

You give it
Priya commented “We did the same and replies went up” on the post “Why we stopped cold email for a month”, with no model key configured.
You get
Hi Priya, thanks for your comment on my post “Why we stopped cold email for a month”. What you said there is the part I keep coming back to. Is this something you are dealing with at the moment? Happy to share what I have learned if it helps.
Why
The plain note names the post, stays inside the sentence and length limits and asks one small question, so it passes the same checks a drafted note must pass.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs

You give it
A drafted note: “Thanks for engaging with my content. Would love to connect and learn about your team.”
You get
Refused with “Does not name the post they engaged with.” The note is drafted once more, then replaced by the plain one.
Why
A note that could be sent to anybody tells the person nothing about why it came, which is the one thing this channel has going for it.
