Part 3 · Operate
Conversations
One timeline per person, across every channel, with what you owe them.
01What it is
The CRM. Every person the system finds or writes to, with their whole history on one timeline and the dated facts about their company beside it.
02Why it exists
A company does not reply to anything. A person does, and the same person may have seen a post, reacted to another, been sent an email and answered a LinkedIn message.
Scattered across four screens that history is invisible. On one timeline you can see that somebody has engaged twice before you ever wrote to them, which changes what you write.
03How to use it
- 01Open a person before writing to them. The timeline tells you what they have already seen.
- 02Work the stages left to right. Each one means a specific thing.
- 03Use the paste box to bring in a message somebody sent you elsewhere.
- 04Record what happened after a conversation. Outcomes feed the learning screen.
04What good looks like
- You give it
- A person who reacted to two posts, then appeared in a read on their company.
- You get
- The timeline shows both reactions with dates, so the draft opens as a follow-up rather than an approach.
- Why
- Touchpoints from every channel land on one timeline for that person.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs
- You give it
- Writing from the read alone without opening the person.
- You get
- A cold-shaped message to somebody who is already warm.
- Why
- The read describes the company. Only the timeline knows what this person has seen.
