Community intent, public and private

Somebody is asking what to buy. Answer the question, and mind the line.

Who this is for

You are in communities where your buyers ask questions, and you want to help without getting removed.

Before you start

  • Communities named in your venue list, or a browser companion installed for private rooms.

How long

Ten minutes a day.

The sequence

  1. 01

Confirm which rooms are being watched, and read the self-promotion note on each. You carry the ban risk, not the product.

    /today, community section10 minutes once

  2. 02

For a private room, select the message and press the shortcut. It captures what you selected and nothing else.

    Any community, Sidecar shortcut5 seconds

  3. 03

Read the drafted reply. Check it answers the question completely before it mentions you.

    /today3 minutes

You should see: A reply that helps even if they never click anything.

  4. 04

Post it yourself, in your own account, in that room. Nothing here posts for you.

    The community itself2 minutes

  5. 05

Mark it posted, then record what happened.

    /today1 minute

You are done when

  • You have answered at least two questions a week with a reply that stands on its own.
  • You have disclosed your affiliation every time you mentioned what you build.

The commonest way this fails

You post a reply that pitches. One is enough to be removed from a room you cannot rejoin, and the room was worth more than the conversation. The gate refuses these, so the failure only happens when somebody edits a refused draft and posts it anyway.
