Part 3 · Operate
Ads
It writes the ads, reads what they do every day, and proposes what to change, inside a ceiling you set.
01What it is
A paid ads program per venture: ads written from your context and drawn in your brand kit, a daily read of what each ad did against the goal you chose, and proposals to pause, give more, trim or try a new variant. You set the goal, the most it may spend in a month, and how much waits for you.
02Why it exists
This is the loop a founder runs by hand with an assistant and Ads Manager: read the numbers, decide, make new creative, repeat. Here each step is done for you, and every proposal carries the numbers it rests on.
The ceiling is the one setting that is never negotiable. It is checked before every change that adds spend, in every approval mode, including the one that skips approval. When the month reaches it, every live ad is paused until the month turns over, without waiting for you, because a ceiling that waits for a click is not one. You can also have it set on the ad account itself, so Meta holds it even if this product is wrong.
Until a Meta ad account is connected the program runs in preview: it writes and draws the ads and you launch them by hand. Nothing is ever sent to an ad platform from preview.
03How to use it
- 01Open Ads. Set what it optimises for, the most it may spend in a month, and what waits for you.
- 02Connect Meta ads, then pick the ad account, the Facebook Page the ads run as, and the countries to show them in.
- 03Press Write 3 ads. Each gets a picture drawn without words, with your headline and button set beneath it in your brand kit, and the copy is held to your brand rules. Draw a new picture, or go text only, from the ad itself.
- 04Approve an ad at a daily budget. On a connected account it goes live; in preview it becomes ready to launch by hand.
- 05Search the Ad Library for advertisers in your market and keep the ads worth learning from. One that has run a long time is used as a pattern, never copied.
- 06Turn on the daily read once ads are live. Answer what it proposes, or let it apply them under the mode you chose.
04What good looks like
- You give it
- Three live ads after five days, one getting a third of the clicks per dollar of the other two, and a ceiling with room left.
- You get
- A proposal to pause the weak one with its numbers, a proposal to give the best one more, and a new variant built from the best one.
- Why
- Each ad is compared with the median of its peers on the goal, and only after enough days and spend to judge.

05What weak looks like, and what it costs
- You give it
- One live ad after one day.
- You get
- No pause or scale, only a proposal for a second ad to compare it with.
- Why
- One ad has nothing to be better or worse than, and one day is noise. Judging needs MIN_DAYS_BEFORE_JUDGING days and MIN_SPEND_TO_JUDGE_CENTS of spend.
