How do I get through a backlog of drafts waiting for approval?

A queue of drafts waiting on one person is the most common way a content engine stalls: everything was written and nothing reached anybody. This skill reads the queue, groups it so you are doing one job rather than nine, shows each item whole with the evidence behind any claim it makes, and approves only what you say yes to. It will not batch-approve, including when you ask, because the approval is the thing that makes the rest safe.

What it does

  • The queue, grouped so you context-switch once per group rather than once per item.
  • Each draft with its evidence, where it makes a claim about a company.
  • A count of what is left, and the age of the oldest.

What it will not do

  • It will not batch-approve, on any phrasing of the request.
  • It will not approve a draft whose supporting evidence it could not retrieve.
  • It flags only what is genuinely worth flagging, because a comment on every item makes the queue slower, not faster.

Installing it

  1. 1

Unzip it into your skills folder

    .claude/skills/clear-my-approvals/
  2. 2

Connect InstinctGTM, which is what it reads

claude mcp add --transport http instinctgtm https://instinctgtm.com/api/mcp

If you skip this, the skill will notice and walk you through it rather than inventing the output.

  3. 3

    Say the thing

“clear my approvals”“what am I holding up”“approve my drafts”

Questions this answers

How do you clear an approval backlog quickly?
Group the queue by type so you make one kind of decision at a time, show each item complete rather than summarised, and surface only the items with something actually wrong. Most of the time cost in an approval queue is context-switching between different kinds of decision, not reading.
Should an AI approve posts for you?
No. Approval is the control that makes everything upstream safe to automate, and an assistant approving on your behalf removes it while appearing to keep it. A message sent in your name lands on your domain and your reputation, neither of which the software can undo.
What happens to drafts I skip?
Skipped drafts stay in the queue untouched. If something is skipped across several runs the skill says so once, because a draft nobody will ever approve is feedback about the drafting rather than a backlog item worth carrying.
