What the tool bot does
When you ask one of our free tools to check a website, a small bot reads that site once. This page is where its user agent points.

What it reads
The page you asked about, and for the tracking checker up to 3 more pages on the same site: pricing, booking or demo, and sign-up or contact. It reads the HTML only. It runs no JavaScript, loads no images and fills in no forms.
How it identifies itself
Every request carries the user agent below, with a link to this page. It sends no cookies and no login of any kind.
Where it will not go
Only public https addresses on the standard port. It refuses private, internal and cloud metadata addresses, checks every redirect against the same rules, follows at most 3, waits at most 5 seconds and reads at most 2 MB of a page.
How often
Only when a person asks. One visitor can run a few checks an hour, and any one site is read at most 3 times a minute, by everybody together. A homepage result is kept for a day, so the same check soon after is answered without reading your site again.
Stopping it
It reads only what a person typed into a tool, so it does not crawl and does not read robots.txt rules for crawlers. To ask us to stop reading a site, write to the address below and we will block it.
